Early Retirement Extreme

Update: I'm working on getting a freelance job. I think freelancing is the way to go as a way of scaling back or getting control of my time. A day job simply takes too much time and it pays way more than I need. Blogging is also quite meaningful. I feel I'm making more of a difference by blogging than I did as a cog in the machine.

Retired Syd

I have to say, I totally identify with your thoughts on blogging. I'm finding it WAY more fulfilling than I have ever felt at my job. (Whether it makes a difference to anyone or not, just the process of creating I find to be extremely rewarding!)

Thanks for the update!

The Digerati Life

Your list of early retirees and the message of this post are very inspiring! I especially appreciate the comments on this post about how fulfilling blogging can be. What is great about it is how flexible it is on your time and how open it is to your "creative venting". After a long time, it can be tough to keep a blogging schedule but there's no rule you have to keep to that schedule either! It's a great place to be.

As for your retirement, Syd -- CONGRATULATIONS! So glad to be able to share this moment with you...
