Photo Friday: My dad took trumpet lessons when he was a kid. Figuring it's never too late to brush up, he's taking lessons again. Teacher should be very proud: he took his trumpet with him on vacation to Mexico! (That's My Funny Valentine you hear.)

We're encouraged to eat locally and seasonally. Well, what if we live locally and seasonally also? What would that look like? I've discovered that my retirement style has been just that: living and eating locally and seasonally.

Oh, how this particular photo speaks to me! I've done some time picking the banjo on the beach, as the waves provide the percussion. Heavenly. Thanks.

Oh well, learning to play a new instrument is a nice way to spend your retirement. In my case, I'd probably take up dancing, not only to be preoccupied during my spare time, but also as a form of my exercise. And yes, traveling would definitely be part of my itinerary. The best way to have a worry-free retirement is by building your retirement fund the soonest time possible.
