Hmmm. Sounds like you are falling into the trap. What is going to happen is that you are going to make getting up at 10:30 (I get up at 11AM) a habit and pretty soon you'll be taking naps at 3 in the afternoon. (I love my naps!)
What this does is makes it almost impossible to ever get a job again and work a regular shift. If I had to do it over again, I would go back to going to sleep by midnight and getting up no later than 9AM. I'm fortunate that I am self-employed BUT if I needed to work (and sometimes I think I do) I don't think I could hold down a job.
Just a thought.

PS: It's only been 3 weeks for you. It took me a year before I settled into a routine and started relaxing. You'll get there.

Wow, I really feel bad for you. :)

Some people might actually like to hear about how great things are. I know I get pretty sick of hearing people complain all the time.

Failing that, you could always turn to the news for "complaining" conversation..."My portfolio is losing SOOO much money! One of my investments went down 75% last month!" "Did you hear about that really stupid thing that guy in Ohio did?"

Wicked in San Jose

Loved that complaining thing!

We just returned from a long cruise and it was delightful. It seemed that everything was wonderful to us.

However, we heard that the ship does some bad stuff just to make those who like to complain happy.

And Elizabeth is right...You could complain about the market and politics, but I noticed that you are not even doing that these days.

What a Life...

Boomie:

Well I've always had the nap thing down, and retirement is no exception. Doesn't seem to matter how much sleep I get, I can always fall asleep for a nap as soon as my head hits that pillow.

Elizabeth & Wicked:

I guess I could find a lot to complain about (politics, war, the market), but you are indeed right, my heart's just not into the complaining thing right now . . .
